I went out yesterday morning, in the cold and wind, and found only three of these guys, nothing else. They left quickly, honking all the way, from what was a very short "stopover." The image has been cropped and tweaked a bit. I am especially interested to know if I got the noise removed (I thought there was very little to begin with, by the way).

Hi Wendell, Good light, exposure and I feel you did a nice job removing the noise. Your speed was fast enough to capture movement so your focus point must have been off due to the head being soft. Would of also liked a bit more room on the bottom and a little less on top....

HI Wendell - agree with Dave - looks like the focus point was on the back - not the head/eye area resulting in the head/neck area being soft.
    Noise looks good.
    Wondering about some CW rotation???

Dave and Lance: I note your critique re. focus, crop and rotation. Am pleased that noise is not a problem!

Hi Wendell the noise looks fine but the bird is very soft !! .. don't think the af point locked around the head !! .. no motion here lots of shutter speed !!
