My wife brought home some Orchids the other day, so I thought I'd see what I could come up with. Comments and guidance always appreciated.
Canon 50D, 100 2.8 macro (the old one), ISO 100, Manual focus, manual metering, 1/125 sec @ F32, Soft box on left and white card reflector on right
Beautiful presentation and good DOF all the way through - it falls off very nicely towards the back. I did think the contrast was just a bit flat, though so I gave it a quick tweak in curves by slightly raising the line near the far right bar and slightly lowering the line near the far left bar (a traditional "s" curve). See what you think...
Love the colors and the sharpness, and yes, Julie's repost gives it more pop.
