    I've not seen this species before; beautiful bird. The light angle is less than ideal, creating a hot spot on the white feathers. I do like the underwing detail. I wish the bird were looking towards you. From a composition standpoint, I'd crop a bit off the left.

    thanks for your suggestions.
    this bird is in Italy between may and september; during winter lives in africa.
    this falcon is specialized in catching dragonflies, then eaten in the air; I have a few pictures of this behavoiur.

    Thanks for the info! I have photographed an Aplomado Falcon catching dragonflies in mid-air also.
