Default Resting after a hard day... (Eastern Cottontail)

    Hello all,

Frisco, Texas is a suburb recently developped. That's why we can find there fauna trying to adapt itself to this new environment. This Eastern Cottontail was photographed near my hotel May 2009. Here the last rays of light was hitting him while he was resting after a hard day...

    Any comments about this pic?

    Thank you,

Hi Michel I like the selected crop and low angle, eye contact sure helps !!!

Might have tried shooting wide open to minimize the bg but do like it as presented. Frame wise is a personal preference but feel the dark frame takes away from the image.

    Michel,
I like the eye contact. The animal is parallel to the camera and depth of field is fine. I agree that the dark frame doesn't help in critiquing. Thanks for sharing.

Nice warm light on this one. Would prefer tighter crop to just behind shoulders or the whole bunny.

    Hello all,

Thank you very much for your pertinent comments.

For my frame, I must say that that picture is taken from my website whose background is black. This dark frame around my picture just disappear when you look at it on my website. This is the trick I use to put my copyright around the little grey frame. You can see what I mean by going on my website :-) :

Also I think the idea to crop behind the shoulders a good one.

    Which one do you prefer?
