Seems they are always facing the wrong way for me, even though I like this. It is a little soft because I was shooting through my window AGAIN without any tripod.

Hi Vince, Head angle police sgt Dave here:) putting up a HA advisory...
I would also suggest a round of NR due possibly to a large crop or camera.
Since your shooting near a feeder in your backyard you might try and set up natural looking perches near it.
They will sometimes land on it before hopping on to the feeder....
Great advise from Dave, I second what he said, and willed that red and green combined in apiculture work very well because they are contrasting colors.
You got to keep trying if they come to you, I'm jealous ;)
HI, Thanks, But from the work I have seen you do there is no way that you can be jealous of me. Today we actually had an American Golden Finch walk along the window where the latch is. I took some pictures of it but I can't post until tomorow. THAT is the first time I have ever seen that and I was suprised at how close he alowed me to get to him.
With the composition as is you can have a little more room to the right to show the feeder more and head angle wise could be the bird is looking at something coming up so its not all bad IMO !!!
Not ball at all for shooting through a window, sometimes I get those reflection which hasn't shown here. You really have a nice uniform green background, after setting up a perch you will get many chances for excellent photo. Now I want to have feeder in my small backyard too...
