    Default Blue Cypress Osprey#2

Hi all! Hope people will not get tired of somemore osprey images. Blue Cypress Lake proved to be very productive!:) This one taken with the D300 and Nikon 70-300VR, f/7.1, 1/1250, iso640.

I like the incoming pose and eye contact and might sharpen the bird a bit more. Some of the whites look very bright, was this originally overexposed?

Axel thanks! No, the subject was exposed pretty much right on. In NX2 it showed no blown highlights.

Like the pose and very much like the included habitat. Looking at it in PS there are some hot pixels, but the spot on the right wing close to the head isn't blown and that was one of the white points that bothered me. I guess it is the sRGB mode....

Although maybe not technically "blown" some of the whites indeed look hot as posted (bird's right wing near the bill, left thigh, and a smaller area near the base of the neck). Great pose, and the inclusion of trees makes for much more interesting image than if it were without.
