    Hello Everyone,

    yesterday i receive some snow and before go to work i can take some photo of this Downy Woodpecker in my backyard.

    ISO 800...1.500s...F 5.6...400mm

    Very sweet. Nice soft textures in the plumage and snow. Maybe a little more room around the bird? Some of the snow is a bit light on detail - maybe a linear burn may help bring back a little.

    Nice little downy enjoying some suet it looks like.

    For a straight shot, I think your exposure compromise is very good. Always hard to not lose all detail in the snow while trying to show some detail in the blacks.

    Tony's idea would allow a bit more detail i the snow. It is really just the area under the bill that needs a bit of help, IMO.

    Always nice to start off the day with a nice photograph in the backyard!
