    Default pair of White Crown Sparrows

    These usually migrate through our area this time of year. Head angle not the best but like the pair together.

    Canon 1D Mark IV
    Canon 800 f 5.6 IS w 1.4
    ISO 2000
    Manual mode +1/3 @1/100

    Hi Monte. I saw a bunch of these guys up at Lake Erie a couple of weeks ago. I like the pose and your composition, but agree that HA could be better. It looks like there is some noise on the birds and in the BG.

    Looks like a good perch for a feed. Not much light with 1/100s @ ISO 2000. Bird on the right looks sharp but the left has just dropped out of the DOF. Agree on the noise - is a this a big crop or is it related to the ISO or maybe underexposure with opening up in post?

    The image was underexposed by about 1/3 stop, this combined with the low light probably contributed to the extra noise.
