Nice landing pose, love the spread wing and the look on the face. The background is a little dark but it does add a feeling of deep jungle/marshes to the image. Do like the hint of leaves in the background. Did you run NR on this, some feather details look smooth out or maybe it was from resizing image.
Good pose, good colors and good sharpness. I'm ok with the background and in fact, I may even tone down the green and the brightness of leaves on the left.
Hi Stuart I'm liking these very much Great comments Can add I would take some from the bottom, the water with all the little white areas is not doing much and reflection is not strong. Will make a stronger image !!!
To be really picky would like seeing the far wing clearing the head higher up !! Excellent exposure and sharp !!! Sure got a bunch of keepers from the Jame's boat !! .... get any oystercatchers in flight?
