Rotate CW, level, set white/black point, crop, NR and sharpen.

Seem like +0.7EV is not enough to push the histogram to the right (got fooled by the light pavement :p). Tried to lure the bird out of shaded area with rice but that didn't work, well next time. I think a lower angle with more DOF would be nice.

All comments and suggestions are welcome.

I like it a lot as presented maybe just a little more room to the right?

For these I agree going flat on the ground is the thing to do but this character has "character" .. an attitude and it was well captured !!!

Hi - think you could push the ISO even further with the D700 especially with a light subject like this - noise tends to show up more in dark area's rather than light - so agree with your self critique.
Some more DOF and lower shooting angle would improve - still like it as presented.

Hi, Good exposure and a well muted backround. I realize you had a speed problem but would have liked to have seen more of the bird sharp.

On my monitor it looks a tad bright but not a deal breaker. Like the pose and the sharpness. I also think more DOF may be better, but I myself often have that problem, too. :)
