6 AM on the "Hooptie Deux" with James Shadle....thirty minutes later standing over knee deep in the water with tripod and camera about 75 yards off shore at the Alafia Banks Refuge waiting for sunrise....and laughing about where I have ended up at the end of my first year in photography

Very nice capture and pose with great light of an impressive bird. The composition may be improved by providing additional room at the bottom placing the bird more in the upper part of the image.

Hi Ken the shooting part looks great, might be a little under exposed but very workable. Main thing you need is processing ! Image is over saturated and you can bring lots of detail with simple processing !! Now days pressing the shutter is just half of the work !!

I really like the pose on this one. Bird is slightly angled towards you and a nice wing spread.

    Sounds like a fun morning!

Very good flight pose, Ken. As mentioned, it looks a bit underexposed and a bit saturated, but with a little TLC it could improve lots. Glad you enjoyed the Hooptie Deux.

Very nice flight pose with good wing span, the cloud in the background adds to the image too. Image does look over saturated and seem like you can bring out more underwing details in post process. I think there is dust spot at the upper wing tip :)

like the wing position, a bit dark and soft here is what it will look light with slight H/S and sharpening

    Hi Ken - lovely bird.
Arash's repost address's the issues discussed above - just minor tweaks make a big improvement.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

Nice stuff. The beak has an unnatural color. It might be my display.
Congrats on a very good BIF!
