Default Great Horned Owl in flight.

    Canon 7d
    ISO 800
    1/2000th
    F 5.6
    300 2.8 with 2x
    Manual

Caught this fellow flying over a pond, sadly not quick enough to get the reflection, nor smooth enough water to make a difference.

Thanks for the help as always.

Hi - Nice - a little more space up front for him to fly and a little more space at the bottom for my personal tastes.
    Exposure looks good.
Id selectively sharpen the Owl some more - think there is a lot more detail in there begging to come out (Including the eye) and run some NR on the background.

Just a couple of small tweaks - all just personal taste!!
    Like it a lot!!

Fully agree with Lance and main point being the extra room !!! Mighty fine capture and one not easy to get !!!

Hi - did the easy bits for you ;) Sharpening and NR - now all you have to do is add some extra room.

Superb capture. I agree that more room in front of the bird would be nice.
I would be thrilled if this was mine, congrats.

Hi, Very nice!Lance put the final touches on an already great image. The backround is nicely muted, good wing position and I like the inclusion of the lower weeds. Well done!

Love the determination look and the down stork wing position of this one, good job with the focus. Feel a little too tight, more room as mentioned would be nice. I like the branches as they add environment to the image except the middle one the intersect the wing.

    Thanks Thanaboon

I think with CS5 I can easily get rid of that without making a mess.

Sorry for beating a dead horse folks, I went back and made the changes I "think" Lance suggested and I liked what Thanaboon said and went back and took out that bit of grass that intersected. Thanks all.
