    Default Least Flycatcher

    Least Flycatcher

    Camden NY

    1D IIN, 500, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/1250.

Tried out my new 500mm tonight with the local Least Flycatchers and they seem to be more cooperative then with my 400mm. :)

PS. I cloned out a distracting branch.

Thank you for looking and C&C is always more then welcome!

    Cute little bird.
Nice Composition, BG, except DOF is not enough.

I like the simple comp. Good pose by this flycatcher, and nice thin perch. BG looks good, but a bit of tweaking/smoothing of the areas near and under the tail and the light spot in LLC would be good to do. I would also tone down some of the lighter whites on the chest.

With the face perfectly sharp (as well as most of the body) the DOF is just fine by me.

Hi Joshua. I've got no issues at all with the DOF. I like the pose and light. Agree with Daniel about the BG. I might sharpen the head just a little more. Remember that you can post up to 1024 pixels wide and 800 tall.
