I got a little carried away here, and didn't record all of my steps, but here's what I remember. I combined two images - one with the butterfly and the other with the trio of blossoms. I used Topaz adjust, added some brush strokes, experimenting with various blending modes, using exclusion as the final step. Thanks for looking and all comments welcome.

Cindy, Beautiful composition. I like the colors and think the BF is fantastic! I'm on the fence about the red in the BG. The red color is lovely -just thinking it should be repeated in the BG somewhere.:)

Cindy, I love the effect using the exclusion blending mode. I'd like to see more of the left side bg colors on the
right side instead of the reds. (Actually just changing the red in the middle to a color more like the colors on the
    left side):)

Great ideas, Denise and Cheryl! I first experimented with removing the red in the BG, more what Cheryl suggested. I'd also like to try to add more of the red- just to see.

Again, thanks for your helpful thoughts.

Very lovely effect, Cindy! Love all the color, especially in the BG. Of the two images, I prefer the one without the red. Would be curious to see a version with more red too though. The branch in the URC bothers me a bit, I might try lightening it and/or blending it in more.

I agree with Christopher's comments. I like these vibrant colors.

Thanks for the comments, Christopher and Anita. You're right about the branch in the URC. I haven't done much to fix that, but here is a version with more red. I think I prefer the one without the red.

I like both of the reposts, with more red and without red. The branch is not bothering me now that I look at it again.
