    Default Cassin's Vireo

I haven't seen too many images of this species posted. They are tough to find...and very tough to photograph. They have been high on my want list for some time now so I was pretty stoked to get this one :)

Glenn, looks great. I really like the comp, and the flash work looks good too.

Beaqutiful subject, pose, perch, BG, techs! I also love the subtle head turn towards us. Sometimes I like additional elements atop to bring balance to a comp, but in this case I do not feel the extra branch above brings anything to the image (IMO)...and for this reason I'd prefer it not there.

I vote to keep the branch in the upper left corner. Great capture and I love the colors in your images.

    Glenn:

Nice to capture a rare one. Well done. I would remove the branch above, and I find the image a bit overflashed, and I think you could easily reduce that with a slight curves adjustment. Just my taste, but I really try to make the fill flash as natural looking as possible.

    Cheers

    Randy
