    I took this on a recent fishing trip to norhteast Texas

    Hi Joel, Good detail,placement of subject along with even lighting.
    The head is slightly looking away and would have wished for more of an angle looking towards the viewer.
    There also seems to be a slight pinkish caste looking at the branch.
    Finally,through no fault of your own,the backround is a bit distracting due to the bands of white and green...

    Sharp with nice feather details, I even like the curvy perch. Wish the background line didn't intersect the neck. I might also try to tone down the highlight on the perch too.

    Hi Joel Great points made !!

    Would add ... increase contrast a bit more both on the bird and bg Would have liked all green bg but you go the head clear into the white which makes it much better !!!

    Hi Joel - repost is much better - like what you did - the added contrast really helps as does the BG work.
    Just keep a eye on the HA.
