Back on the road for me - all week this week, home for the weekend and back out again. Hopefully I'll have time to stop and take a photo or two.

yes, good comp. Interesting contrast between the smoothness of the flowers and the sharpness of the needles. Well done. And yes, please post the procedure if you have it

Thanks Denise and Hazel. I wish I could say I worked on it all morning, but what I did was quite :o simple.

Fotosketcher on default Brushstrokes and light Texture #1 blended back with original. I only wish I could do some of these things from scratch, but I can't beat DAP or Fotosketcher. I do sometimes overlay one of the texture photos I have and blend that in, but not this time.

Patti, this is beautiful. I love the base composition. The effect of the filters makes it come out really well. TFS.

Very nice effect. I wish I could see more of the center of the flower on the right but looks good as presented.

Lovely. The composition is great, and the effects you achieved work beautifully. I'd like to see the cactus needles in to lower right along the bottom a bit darker as they pull my eye away from the gorgeous flowers. This image brings back happy memories of my years in Texas and backpacking in Big Bend!!!
