Captured this killdeer at a local park in Colorado this morning. Thanks for looking.

I like this capture! I get this feeling that it should have just a bit more space around the bird.
I'll wait and see what the other folks think about his!

    Hi Dan,
Nice low angle and Bg. I like the crop as is.

Great capture of a bird that is surprisingly much more difficult than other plovers,
(at least in my experience). I like the low angle and BG a lot. The ground
is very appropriate for the species. Just a bit of head turn would make this image even better IMO.

Thanks for the comments. I kept waiting for the killdeer to walk in front of some trees for the background.

Great shot! The lighting and angle are fabulous. Artie might have something to say on head-turn about this one though....

Dan, I think Ilija and I are having the same experience with these plovers.:) I think you waited for a beautiful BG to come into view. Nice sharp details. I do wish for a slight head turn as mentioned and I think you may be able to tone down a few bright spots on the chest and neck. All said-this is a terrific image that I would love to have in my files-well done.

I think the issue of this shot was the angle of the sun and Dan's position. Looks like the sun was to the left of the camera. Agree with Denise, the chest and neck area is a bit hot, and the tail fell into the shadow.
Tech, BG and the idea is excellent.

Thanks again. These guys move around so fast, it was quite the challenge, but fun! I toned down the whites a little on this one.
