This was taken not far from Arenal in the rainforest They are beautiful birds and we were thrilled to have had the opportunity to see them.

Great bird Judy (where is Arenal?). I like the simple perch and the overall BG colours. Very nice pose and head angle. I would try to tone down the purple areas in the BG, and also maybe lighten up the belly and flank of the bird.

Good-looking specimen, eye contact and interesting setting. It could go a tad brighter for my taste and I would sharpen the bird some more. I'm wondering if cloning out the branch in the foreground would make it even stronger.

Uh, I envy you being there (John I believe it is Arenal volcano in Costa Rica)
Great bird, excellent image for one taken in the rain-forest. Agree about cloning the front branch.

Judy, nice image of this species. I don't believe I even have one of these in my files, so I'm happy for you! You might consider a couple of the suggestions to improve things but I think it works well as is.

BTW, Ilija is right -- Arenal Volcano in the northwest of Costa Rica.

    Cheers,
