    Default After the storm

Took this after days of rain, rivers in Mpumalanga full and raging. Comment and technical advise more than welcome. I know the center comp is not always advisable, but i took a few shots of this, and liked this one better. Did some contrast, shadow and highlight adjustments in photoshop.

This is a very effective use of the centre position and wide angle lens. I found my eye drawn into the landscape, and those clouds are fantastic. Almost 3 dimensional and very expressive.

Hi Charissa, I also like the way you handled the image. The scrub in the center acts as a leading line taking you to the mountains. The exposure is handled well and I can still see detail on the right side of the distant mountains.
The sky is the key which adds a huge amount of drama and interest to the image. Well handled!

Terrific drama, enhanced by the leading lines of the clouds AND the shrubs.

    Impressive work.

    Hi Charissa,
Almost has an HDR look to it....but very nicely done! It does work with the center comp as presented......draws me into the image and the sky envelops me! Really nicely done!

This image is very nice. I love the balance of the ground and sky, and as others have said it sort of pulls you right into the scene.
