    Default Cassin's kingbird?

Photographed in Los Angeles County, California, last weekend. My guess is Cassin's kingbird. The alternative I've considered is western kingbird. Of course, given my lack of skill in bird ID, it could be something completely different. I also have a back photo showing no clear white sides to the tail. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Does the other image show the white at the tip of the tail?

There is white at the tip of the tail in the other image:

Not sure if I'm breaking a rule by posting a second image; if so I apologize.

Looks like a Cassin's. Not as crips looking as many but that may just be the light you has. In your area there are three yellow kingbirds: Western has white outer tail feathers, Cassin's has a pale tip to the tail, and Tropical which has a more uniform colored tail (brownish) but with a more pronounced notch than the other species.

Flavio, I think Delcan has it right. The small white throat patch, white wing edges, and white tail tip would suggest Cassin's. Very common bird around here.
