    Default Gannet

I am hoping to get reacquinted with these wonderful birds later this month.

This image was taken last year whilst sitting on the edge of a mighty cliff, with my mate Steve K yelling 'Don't go any further.....you'll fall!'

nice pose, light and colors. Feathers are too smooth and lacking in texture, maybe too much noise reduction?

    Graham:

The head angle works well with the directional lighting from the left. I agree with Arash about the lack of fine detail in the feathers. What ISO and post processing did you use?

From a comp. standpoint, I might be tempted to crop down about 1/3 of the free space at the top.

Hope you get to enjoy them again. Just be sure to hang on to the cliff.

    Cheers

I like the strong sidelight and the black BKGR. I wish only that the eye were lit a bit better.

Great detail in the bird and I like the tight crop. Like the feather on the beak as well.
