HI Myer.....I photograph at Bombay fairly often and have gotten pics of the fox but usually do not get the whole fox and tail. You captured that well! You might consider cloning out the grass that crosses the fox's face. Also the fur seems a bit oversharpened midbody. Nice shot!

    Hi Myer

Sadly just too many distracting blades of grass for me, not allowing enough clear vision of the subject and the Saturation is also running a bit strong. However, you do get the feeling of what is happening, good choice of crop.

Agree with Steve. Except - I do not get a feeling of what is happening.
Without your explanation about the stick it would have appeared to me he was perhaps shot in the mouth with an arrow. Or retreiving something with an arrow in it.

The fox was nice to me I saw it on both my first and second trip around the auto loop and it gave me good looks at its whole body. here is another look at the fox.
I considered cloning out the grass on the face and will try later to see if I can do it without destroying the face

Hi Myer Agree with advice !!! ... saturation is high and would tone down then check for a cast !! .. btw was this shot in RAW? .. if not there could be some in camera processing turned to vivid or similar !!

Also posting larger would make it easier to evaluate !! Neat having a fox out in the open !!

Hi Tom I did get a sense of what the fox was doing ... were you serious about the arrow :) .. never crossed my mind !!!:)

Myer, well done on getting a fair shot of him, as I presume these guys are fairly skittish. I do agree the image is a tad oversaturated, especially the greens of the grass. With regards to colours, your repost looks great.

"Hi Tom I did get a sense of what the fox was doing ... were you serious about the arrow :) .. never crossed my mind !!!:)"

I wondered if anyone else in the world might see it like me :)
So when Carolyn got back I put up this last repost and simply said - "Talk to me about this photo". She said only - "nice red fox, look at huge tail, wonder if it is angry at something" So I had to say, - "look at its head/mouth area, what do you see?" She said - "looks like it is carrying something. or maybe, is that an arrow in it?" I said no not an arrow just a stick along with something else, thanks.
Honest to God. But maybe that only shows why Carolyn and I get along so well together :)

ps - Difficult for me to see the little contrast difference between repost and original
