    Yet another Ft Desoto image from the end of April, I really like the open bill but I am wondering if the image needs more of the body to balance it which I do not have.

    40D, 500 f/4 +1.4, 1/1000 at f/7.1, Aperture Priority, Evaluative Metered + 2/3, Raw, ISO 400, Tripod, Cropped from the top and cloned out some OOF grasses

    Don, I like it as is, my eyes go directly the beak, where the emphasis should be. I might even try more of a pano and take off some of the bottom.

    For this type of image, the body balance looks good to me. Great timing and a lovely background.
