Stuart, The capture is interesting with the spanish moss trailing the osprey. My eye does feel unsettled tho for a couple reasons, one the bird is past you, and looking away. That sometimes can work if he's focused on his nest, but here I feel it creates a dis-connect. And that top wing feels totally cramped in the frame. Do you have any others from this series?

    Hi Stuart,
I really like the trailing nesting material. From a compositional preference I would prefer to have more room for the bird to fly into. To demonstrate I have attached an edit of your image that I added canvas to the top, right , and a little on the bottom. This is represents my personal taste as the bird feel less tight in frame and lessons the feel of it being passed you. The biggest issue for this image in my opinion is the bird is looking away from you.
    Thanks for sharing.

Stuart, great sharpness and I like the interesting nesting material you this individual with. The far wing's position is ideal with the front one not as much. I agree about the less than ideal HA, cramped comp (which Phil beautifully improved in his repost), and I would add that some of the whites are hot - especially the legs.
