    Default Semipalmated Sandpiper

Here is a picture from a month ago; the last time I could go for photographing birds. Taken in my beloved Yucatan, Mexico.

    Hi Lorant

Its obviously a beautiful sharp image with a background to love, but what I like best is the subtle hint of water flowing across the birds feet. Can almost feel it running between my toes... Not sure how you could improve this...

Nice pose, eye contact and shooting angle. Slightly over sharpened IMO - there is a strong sharpening halo around the beak.

Hello Lorant, I agree with Ofer that you've over-sharpened (halo gives it away). Perhaps you can reduce and repost, as otherwise I find this to be a nice, relaxing image. Like the soft colors in the foreground and BG.

Lorant, Beautiful soft colored BG and water to compliment your shorebird. I like the details and agree with the halo and sharpening points.

Lorant, you have good advice on the sharpening for web presentation but I like the soft colors and the comp in this image.

Thank you for the comments. I agree on the sharpening as well and I will be more careful with it next time.
