    Hi Gary,

What a beautiful bird! The orange of the breast could maybe be toned down a bit, and the bird brought up a bit in the frame, but overall it makes a beautiful shot of this gorgeous bird! I love the way the bird's pose is looking at you. I wish my orioles would let me get a shot of them. They're all too far away. You took the shot at just the right moment, I think.

    Oh yeah, nice background, too!:)

This guy has been feeding off the hummingbird feeders. Ignores the Oriole feeder, oh well. Thanks for the critique! I am trying to get my fill flash dialed in a little.

    Gary:
I think the exposure is very close, with good detail in blacks without obvious loss of detail in orange.
    Very sharp on the eye.
Nice pose, a bit different angle and I like it.

I wouldn't want the bird any larger in the frame.
Pretty good and subtle use of fill to my eye.

    Cheers

    Randy

Thanks! With the weather we have had, it has been a challenge getting him to land on the perch with the sun shining. Good thing I brushed up on my Oriole calling!

    Gary.

A touch more sharpening would be nice I like the pose and bg I might be tempted to clone out the white blob above the birds head. Still a great shot.
