    Default Wetlands Copulation

I was watching this Blue-winged Teal pair swimming when the male suddenly turned and pushed the female under the water until only her head was clear. Then he mounted her and here is the habitat image I captured at Wakodahatchee.

Hi Milt You were at the right spot :) Just a little over exposed, those whites are tough to capture, probably needed a full stop !! Would also give a little more space particularly at the tail end and might want to show more of the water circles !!! Excellent !!!

Hi Milt, You captured them at the right time since many times the females head gets pushed lower. Agree with Al on the whites otherwise a good representation...

    Milt,

Great nature shot and agree with Al on all issues (-1 and more room) - TFS, well done.

Hi Milt, did not know about this behavior in the water (know a little about it elsewhere, though :)), so TFS this nice habitat image.
