From my trip this past winter to Wy, elk from the elk sanctuary at Jackson. Interesting year since there was not all that much snow and sleds had to run on wheels !!! .. .btw this is a 6x6 and were some very huge !!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Love the subtle soft colors, HA, eye contact. Perfect crop. Would also like to see another shot at eye level with the elk. Always amazes me that they re-grow those every year.

Hi Tom When they shed antlers, Boy Scouts go out to collect them :) .. then there is a big sale with proceeds going for next years feed !! When Jackson grew the elk lost passageway to their winter feeding grounds then something had to be done !! Does create an interesting circumstance !!! ... great place to visit !!!

Hi Al, impressive set of antlers there, and would love to see one of these guys. The vertical works, but would also like to see this in landscape.

Robert ... you can go with a group or private tour, they will rent the wagons for any length of time you want, neat !! Worked well the only hassle was obtaining a permit from the Elk refuge people, can't take video and have to assure them it will be for private use. Would probably be better to go out several times with a group, lots cheaper and you do get close to the animals !!
