this work for you or not? my wife and i were going through all the pictures i took and i told her this was one of my favorites from the trip. she rolled her eyes and said you gotta be kidding!! after processing it, basically just cropping into this pano, which was my original vision for the image, i called her in to take a look at it. she was mucho surprised and apologized for making the earlier comments. i personally dont think this small jpeg does it justice.

    D300, 120-400 at 330mm, f/7.1, 1/2000s, ISO 400, manual exp.

thanks for looking. comments much appreciated. and PLEASE!, dont let me liking it sway your opinion one way or the other!!!!

Love the pose on the osprey and like the foreground OOF leaves BUT which there was a little more separation between the 2

got to be honest with you mate,

doesnt swing it for me, too much of the bird taken over by the tree, just keep having my eye taken by the vibrant green

    sorry mate

Hi Harold, this one is a tough call for me. First off the techs are solid. It's a different look with the bird appearing to skim over the trees. For my taste I think I would like to see a bit more of the bird unblocked. This is a tough one to call due to the subjective nature of the image.
I don't think you need quite so much room on the left.
    However it is creative...

I feel the same as Myer on this one, wish for more separation. Having said that I've always been a believer that photography is a very subjective art. Just look at how different the comments are on my three stooges post, some liked it and some hated it.

You know I like OOF vegetation :)
I'd crop some off the right, right after the good green part and not crazy about the hard edge shadow, the "veil" is fine with me.

Interesting Harold Might cut down on some of the green under the wing and will work for me !!! ... also having all green at the bottom would be better !!!

interesting! i never considering working the shadows on the bird. i thought it was cool because it was almost like she was playing peek a boo behind the trees. i'll work those shadows, crop it and clone in some green below and check it.

thanks for the replies! now off to work!!!
