    From my recent trip to Costa Rica (thanks, Greg Basco), this honeycreeper grabbing the fruits at La Selva Biological Station in the late morning harsh light.

    Lots of competition here for your subject, Susan with all those berries and leaves. My eye would rest more easily on the bird if you had a little more room up top. As presented I keep drifiting to the berries.

    I agree with Grace as to the berries. Perhaps a bit off the bottom and darken the bright gren leaf in the BG.

    Hi, Susan. I agree with the ideas for improvements but I think you did very well with the fill-flash to deal with the harsh light, and I really like the berry in the beak. Female shining honeycreeper is one of my favorites, so I'm glad you were able to get a nice image.
