I like the moment you catched. What´s the Buzzard´s prey?

    It was a male pheasant.

Nice! I like that we can tell it was a pheasant from the tail. Might wish for a bit more light on the bird's face, but not easy to control, especially from a hide.

I assumed you baited and tethered the pheasant down Jonathan, so the Buzzard will have it's fill and not allow it to take it away if spooked? Nice shot.

Yes you are correct Steve, I did a similar arrangement with a canada goose but I didn't bother to tether that down. Tomorrow I will try with a mallard drake - food is put out on an irregular basis just to keep them tempted, sometimes they come down others they just refuse and the fox has a feast instead - trouble is he comes at night and I don't see him.

Very well done on this one, Jon. The low angle works perfectly and you set up well this moment.

Was the pheasant dead or alive when tethered down?

    I presume you are joking?:)
The pheasant was MOST DEFINITELY DEAD when tethered down. Neither I, nor any other reputable photographer would dream of tethering a wild animal down as bait for the pleasure of taking photographs.:)
