Neat looking bird Stuart Would crop form the right and bottom to keep bird out of center frame !! ... not sure why you needed the extension tube? Doesn't seem to be inside minimum focusing distance ... btw can use a 1.4X for greater magnification without affecting the close up focus !!... like the processing !!!

Not sure on the ID. Would like to see a smaller perch and the bird turned a bit more towards the camera. But I know all too well that sometimes things are beyond our control.

I really like ths one a lot. Beautifully composed. The head angle doesn't bother me at all. I really like backgrounds like this one. Often they don't work out and can be distracting, but when they do work, like this one, they are far superior to the clean sterile backgrounds that are so common. The only very minor criticism I have is that the in-focus stem and leaf on the perch might be a little distracting.

    It's a male Yellow-rumped Warbler.

Great shot of a quick little bird! Yes, it is a male yellow-rumped warbler.
