    Pretty In Pink

I am on vacation this week and I have been terrorizing all the flower nurseries stocking up on plants for the back deck. One of my favorites from yesterday's finds was this pretty petunia plant. I went out this morning to take some photos and this fly was waiting out the soft breeze on the crest of one of the petunia "waves". I really wish that front petal would have been more in focus but I was hurridly trying to get the image before the fly flew. :D

Hey Jules, cute little guy, and like the comp, and good choice on DOF.:)

Super colours and a very pleasing composition, I would have tried f8 -f11 to give a little more DOF on the fly (and perhaps the petal you referred to).

Lovely colors, Julie, both on the fly and the petals. TFS.

Well, you did a good job capturing the fly! It looks so happy up there.
