Afraid of the HAP, I do not know, what you think about this one.
I like the backlit wings and the pose, but do not know, if it works?

Hi Rosl Sometimes the hap is not out in force !!!

For an image like this the head angle does not bother me The bird is up to something and looking in that direction The backlit wings look very good so does the rest of the body The only place I'm having trouble with is the head Looks sort of dark and has a different feel than the rest of the image Might be able to work with curves and brighten some

btw the bird placement and space around it is really good !!!!

    Hi Rosl,
I really had to think about this one. I like it a lot but couldn't put my finger on it. Technically, it's excellent, especially the backlit wings. As I closely studied the photo, I realized it's the little drops of water combined with the pose and head angle. It reminds me of a kid, kicking up water and just having a good time at the beach.

I know that attributing anthropomorphic characteristics to animals is sign of advanced senility but that's what makes me smile about this photo. :) Thanks for posting.

ps - I think the 2 sand bars can go.

    Hey Rosl!

Not one of my favorites of yours, you have much better. I think you captured nice action here but not facing the right way and not a lot of detail although the composition is nice and the wing stretch is nice too.
