Hmmm…That feeling…

Ever had that cant wait for time to pass feeling? I have a Nikkor 300mm F4 (the non afs one, im too poor and I got my eye on a 70-200) sitting waiting for me in a parcel force box, waiting to be broken open at home. That feeling of pure anticipation…that feeling of excitement!

I am sitting at work with an hour to go until I bolt out of here like a jack rabbit on fire…

Don’t know about all of you guys but I do photography purely for the enjoyment and challenge of it, I make little money from it and I refuse to buy my gear on credit I save for months to buy a new gadget. Luckily enough I have just got a 70-300 VR and now I have this waiting for me…

Please tell me I am not alone being a big 10 year old gagging to get home to play with the new toy!

To top it off...its raining so i cant even go out when i get home! lol

Peter, hope the rain stops soon. I just purchased a MKIV and Artie's manual, am all set to play as well - great to be a kid again!

Imagine what it felt like when I anticipated receiving a Mark IV and an 800mm f/5.6 on the same day earlier this year and I was away from home. I couldn't concentrate.

Are you a big 10 year old gagging to get home to play with the new toy? Of course! We are all 10 year old kids no matter how old our bodies are. Heck! I am 62 and have the same anticipation every time I buy a new toy. Fortunately, my wife allows me to buy a few each year.

This is what makes life fun!
