Beautiful texture and flow to the image, Denise. I'm not sure I love that bottom petal being cut off so close to the edge. Did you consider bringing the crop up a tiny bit (or down further) so that line wasn't so close to the bottom of the frame?

Jules, I like it with the bottom petal. I'm sure some will like it better w/o :)Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hey Denise, I like the flow of the comp. Good colors, and like the DOF choice.

Hi Denise, Wonderful lines thru out the image and I'am with you on the bottom petal. After seeing all these wonderful flowers abstracts I am very tempted to dust off my 100 Macro and go buy some flowers:)

    Hello Denise,

I really like this image for the textures, the colors and the lovely composition!!! Is Gerbera a native plant/flower? I like the color contrast but also the form contrast between the sharpness of the green and the "roundiness" (can we say that in english) of the petals.

    Very good picture!!!

    Thanks for sharing! :D

My attention is equally divided between the green and the peach. The curves of the petals are exquisit--perfectly captured. I like the lower petal. In a perfect world, the green thing third from the top would be more in focus, but this is a small issue.
