\No Arash it won't. The 500 f/4 is the largest of the Super Teles to fit in cabin luggage.
I carry my 600/4 in domestic flights.
I fit the 600 f/4, 500 f/4, 400 f/5.6, 70-200 f/4, two bodies, and a variety of other pieces of equipment into my Think Tank Airport Security 2.0 bag. It fits in the overhead compartment of all but the smallest domestic airplanes in the USA.
Upcoming Workshops: Bosque del Apache 2019, Ecuador 2020 (details coming soon)

Thanks guys, know it fits in various thinktanks for sure, was looking at something more like backpack style but looks like there aren't that many good options...

arash,
Let me know what you do, I like the Trekker 600 and might use it for the 500. Backpacks are easy to carry and this looks compact.
I bought a Moose Peterson MP1 bag before I bought my Canon 600mm. I can put the 600, several smaller lenses, several bodies and lots of other stuff in the overhead of a regional jet. Very little padding but I can fairly comfortably put everything in it and never have to worry about checking glass. You do have to occasionally persuade a flight attendant to let you try as I think the pattern was cut to fit a regional jet overhead. It does fit. Also you need to stand and smile like it weighs nothing - you can put A LOT in it. http://moosepeterson.com/blog/?cat=1
I have the Tamrac Expedition 8x and I travel domestic and international with it. Fits 500mm f:4, 100-400mm, 17-40mm, 2 bodies and a flash, my laptop and other goodies. Only problem that it is really heavy when loaded like this. It is a very solid backpack that I use on the field all the time.
I have a ThinkTank Airport Acceleration backpack. Since we have very similar equipment, I think this would work well for you, too. It also has an extra laptop compartment and cover. If you remove the laptop, the backpack fits even in the overhead bin of smaller airplanes.
Hi everybody,
last year , agoust, i spend 4 hours at BH, New York, to find the best travel backpack....
Believe me i tryed every tambrac, every lowepro....
I find out the Lowe Pro Flipside 400 AW....
fit inside the 500 Canon perfectly ( only for 1 cm ) And i can fit inside my mark IV, 1,4x, 24mm 1.4 , 85 1,8.....
I choose this becase of weight ( 1,5Kg vs 3Kg or more of the Tamrac's.... )
