Tennessee Warbler
Upper Texas Coast
D3, 600, 1.4TC, ISO 800, f11, 1/800.
One from last week.
Not the most flamboyant warbler, but beautiful in his own subtle way.

Alan, love how clean and simplistic of your image.
A big fan here.
Beautiful image. Sharp, good exposure and perch. Is the background natural? Subjective call, but I'd like to see a bit more room at the top.
this is simply amazing image , love the perch , BG and HA

Lovely image but it looks a little green to me - I have taken the liberty of modifying the colours very slightly - do you like this version?

Excellent shot Alan, love the details and perfect perch!

Alan-
Another winner - very nice composition, colors, bgkd. Nice details and HA. Exposure looks perfect
Presume this was at a setup - - was it at a water drip or did you use sound recordings?
Alan,
This is a wonderful shot. I'm currious though, why f11 and not f8? Where you already at f8 and then stopped down one? I've just never stopped to f11 on a bird.
Bruce
Hey Bruce, with the D3's clean noise at ISO 800 I have plenty of shutter speed to stop down. F11 gets everything in focus, especially when the bird faces you. F 8 can leave the tail OOF. Remember, this is a set-up so I am near minimum focus distance, so f8 does not have that much D-O-F.
Thanks, Alan
Love it! The sharpness is always stunning and I am glad you mentioned the f/11 setting. I am going to start moving my 600 up from f/8.
Beautiful, nice pose, light, details and HA...
