From the recent trips after ospreys a dorsal view, trying for more of these but difficult to come by.. will continue trying !!! For these using more the 7D than the Mk4, like the reach and combined with the 100-400 make a great combination. Like the quality, af speed and versatility !!

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

    Alfred:
Excellent head position for a dorsal view. Particularly like the tail fan here.
To my eye the image could go 1/3 of a stop brighter.

I wonder about the sharp foliage on the right frame edge. Might consider blurring it a bit. Doesn't seem like his likely landing spot. Just how it struck me. Perhaps it adds a bit of balance to the bird. Curious how others feel about it.

    Cheers

Very nice, Al! I've recently been working with images from a 7D (not mine :() and am really impressed with the quality. I
tried Randy's suggestion to brighten it a bit, and you know me ... can't leave well enough alone, so I also dimmed
the background and blurred it a little more. Your watermark was a casualty of that operation! Just experimenting ...

Hi Al, lovely banking angle, and the osprey is separated nicely from the BG. He sure looks foccused on something above him. David's blurred BG looks good.

Alfred, cool view of this bird, and I like the inclusion of the habitat. I'm not sure if I like David's well-done repost or the original better. I might go somewhere between the two.
