    Default Portrait of an Owl

I love these Borrowing Owls... never short of character in various poses and looks! I loved this intense stern look. Used topaz simplify and then used a combination of find edges and feather with linear dodge and lower opacity to get this effect. Also used the soft edge brush with lower opacity to get some additional definition. Hope you like it... your c&c will be appreciated.

Indranil, I love the expression and the composition. Nice job w/ the sketch effect. I could even see the eyes being in color for an alternate look. Well done.

Beautifully done, Indranil. It would be interesting to see the eyes in color also (maybe faintly colored?)

He's certainly giving the look, Indranil! :D Lovely sketch look. I agree with Denise and Cheryl that coloring the eyes might make a very nice alternate look.

HI Indranil, I love the expression and you did a great job with the sketching effects. I think I like it as is - without coloring the eye.

Denise, Cheryl, Christopher, Cindy, thanks for all the feedback. Appreciate it a lot. As suggested, here is the alternate look...

Very nice image and application, Indranil.

Did you clone the left shoulder area? Looks chopped. Might just be the lighter feathers, but just wondering.

I like both posts! He doesn't look like he likes posing for the camera...... ;)
    Lovely sketch.

Oh my, what a great look you got!! Excellent technique to create the sketch look. I like both versions and think they can each stand alone. Very nice work!
