Default My first post - Roseate Spoonbill

So this is my first post on this forum so it's a bit experimental. We came across this spoonbill whilst driving down a country road in Bradenton, SW Florida. It was in a ditch so we stopped to watch and of course as soon as I got out of the car it flew away! I managed to get this shot after it stopped in the tree.

    Olympus E-30, 50-200mm lens (100-400mm EFL). ISO 320; 1/4000; f/5.6.

Welcome, Phil. Great colours and eye contact - it was obviously a bit wary of you once you showed yourself. A little more sharpening would optimise web presentation and burning in the branch behind the bird would help achieve some separation from the BG. Posting ISO, SS , aperture etc would be good to maximise constructive feedback. Looking forward to more of your images.

Great critique from Tony and I fully agree with him on all points. It would also help if you burned all around the frame to help keep the viewer's eye inside the frame.
    Again, welcome to BPN.
