Image made in Costa Rica. These little guys are nocturnal but in mating season very easy to find. We photographed them during the day because flash damages their very sensitive-to-light eyes.

Hi Susan, saw one of these posted a while back, would love to photograph one of these, they look so 'clown like' in their looks, btw were with Jamie S?

I'm not sure if a closer POV might be better or not, or in deed, the two OOF leaves in the foreground help frame it? Have tried a tighter crop & slight rotation, but it's a difficult one for me:) Overall I like it, perhaps a tad more DOF, but then SS would suffer, so...

Be interesting to see other POV's

I like all inclusion and location of leaves and crop.
My problem is the position of its left legs. In particular its left hind leg.

stunning colours and detail. I like it as presented. Having the left hind leg anywhere else might have compromised his fragile foothold :)

Outstanding colors and detail. Vertical comp is a good choice. Leg doesn't bother me as I am stunned by the eyes.

    Hi Susan,
Lovely colourful fellow. I never knew that their eyes can be damaged by flash. If the bottom right leaf would have been in focus, then the image would have been further strengthened. May be a higher ISO. Overall, I like this image. Thanks for sharing.

A little creature I still need to hopefully capture one day. A very colourful looking frog, and I also like as presented.

A wonderful image. I like the detail, colors & the way the toes peek around the plant stems. Well done.
