    Default Dandelion

I always find it hard to create a nice image of a flower. Here is another try. Shot with canon 30d with canon 300mm f4 with canon 1,4 converter. f 6.3, iso 400, 1/250e

Hey Thijs, I really like this, mainly because it's not one of the traditional views of a dandelion. I like the light on the flower petal. Parts of the BG could use smoothing out with some blur or NR but overall this is nice.

I agree with Ken, Thijs. You've done a very nice job of composing the image and have a nice repeating pattern in the BG. Smoothing out the BG will definitely bring it up another notch. I think a bit more room at the top would also help - you're close to giving the flower the feeling of "bumping his head on the top of the frame."

Interesting perspective on a Dandelion. I usually shoot mine with weed killer.
Nice low angle and lighting. Agree that BG could use some cleaning up.

Very nice but I think it would benefit from more room on the top. I like the BG as presented, it makes it different.

Unique presentation with interesting BG make this good. I agree with room at the top and would also consider a bit of the bottom as well.

I like the cup of light effect! I would reshoot this as a vertical leaving some room at the top! Still a nice shot!
