    Default Orange Headed Thrush

Shot at Kanha Tiger Reserve with Nikon D90 & Nikkor 70-300 VR lens. Had to wait near a waterhole for an hour before the beautiful bird approached close enough.

    A beautiful specimen,
I like the Comp, light, perch, pose and eye contact.
On my monitor it seem a bit noisy and oversharpened

Beautiful bird, I'm not sure I have seen this species before. Thanks for sharing! I like the inquisitive look and angle. I would sharpen a bit less and tone down the highlights.

Thanks! Sharpening was of course applied after reducing the size for web. But the picture looks just right on my CRT monitor! Must crosscheck on a LCD.

Nice bird, perch, and BG (although I'd eliminate the light streak). Sharpening look rather aggressive at my end too.

Waiting that hour was an hour well spent ... fabulous image, congrats.
