Not sure what kind but is one form the old diving days with film, I think taken at the Solomon Islands aboard the Bilikiki. Can't imagine using digital UW and not being limited to thirty six exposures ... and having AF :)

    Comments welcome and much appreciated

Beautiful colors Alfred. BG compliments the fish well. Maintains the underwater feel without looking like its underwater.

Lovely colours. May be some day I can take a plunge to see the beauties of the underwater world. Have never tried that. Thanks for sharing.

Marine fish always seem to have amazing colours. Sure stands out against the darker coral.

    Hi Alfred,
I was right there with you in the old days with film underwater - also on the Bilikiki in the Solomons. I quit u/w photography when I went digital. Didn't want to invest in all new housings ports, etc. Not at my age.
This one is a Regal Angelfish. I still enjoy looking at the underwater images.

Your photo brings back great memories. Not easy to get that close.
How long have you been diving Alfred? I have been diving for 40+years. Next to flying it is the best times I have had.

Nice capture. Most of my diving friends are underwater photogs. The gear used nowadays is
incredible...I think I'll stick with topside pics!

    Regards,

    Oscar

Great job, Al. Makes me want to dig through my old underwater slides. Digital would be amazing - only 36 slides/dive was always a bit of a challenge
