    Desoto Mating Gulls. I cropped the lt side, and placed the image off center, clones some debris from sound, (seed weed etc)

    Thks Meyer, i actually have quite a bit of canvas left on the LT, i tried to do something different, and push the pic to the LT.

    Hi Don, Undo the crop and maybe a curve adjustments and layer mask to bring more detail out the blacks on the face and you have a winner here. Nice control on the whites and a nice behavior action going on.

    Like the behavior action and the equal eye contact for both birds. Exposure looks good but more detail in blacks would be good. Agree more room on the left.

    To Don Lacy: can elaborate for us rookies, howto do a curve adjustment and layer mask to bring back detail in the blacks?

    I like the pose and mating action here! exposure was challenging and you did well, since both birds are looking to the left I would crop from the right and add canvas to the left I would also sharpen a bit more to see if you can bring out the texture in the feathers.
