Hi Mark Like the overall feel a lot, pretty blue bg !!! Would take a little form the top and leave just a strip of brown !! Sure wish the bottom was all clean .. not much into cloning things but might go for it in this one!!!

PS wise might add black in selective color !! I like it a lot Sweet image !!

Great eye contact and BG. Agree with Al on taking a little off the top.
    Congrats

Hi Mark - these guys are great usually so co-operative - Like the low shooting angle, good sharp details and eye contact.
Agree with AL for the need of a touch of added blacks and cropping a little from the top.
    Like it a lot.

Beautiful pose, good exposure. Another vote for removing some from the top And clone out the " stuff" in the water but would suggest only remove the " stuff' closest to you and leave the other that is near the bird. If ethics allow change the brown to blue along the top. Like the blue

Hi Mark, Al said it all for me! I might leave more room in the rear of the bird.(not much) You captured the subject well...

    Repost.

Al, I didn't have too much success with PP'ing this repost. I tried to clone out the Neptune's Necklace in front but couldn't get the water quite right. It looked odd and unnatural. and I just couldn't blend it properly. I tried cloning and using the spot healing brush, but nothing I did worked.
I've also increased the contrast a little. I'm using PSE 7.0, and I couldn't find an option to just adjust the blacks. So I upped the contrast, and erased the white parts that were too contrasty.

The crop is nicer with less dark above. I've also taken some from the side, and a touch from the left. (Sorry Dave, I misread your post when I did it and thought you suggested less room not more).
