The Durban July is our most famous Horse Race in South Africa. The shot reminds me of a jockey on his horse.:D Tiny 3mm fruit flies mating. Shot at the local Botanical Gardens.

Vida, You make these ugly bugs look so pretty! Very nice sharp details and I love the comp.

This is so much fun to look at, Vida! I love those eyes and you're right...it does resemble a jockey riding a horse! I do wish the orange/brown areas weren't so dominant in the BG on the right side - have you tried cloning those out and leaving just the feet or are they too entertwined?

    Hey Vida,
Very cool eyes! Doesn't look like a jockey riding a horse to me;):eek::eek:!.....the area Jules mentions does draw the eye a bit....bot the sharpness on the 2 faces and eyes is terrrific!

Have removed the stamen (?). Not the best at this cloning thing but I hope you like it better.:)

I still don't know how you do this. Another one for the eye collection! The repost does look better, IMHO.

Hi Vida, fantastic detail and colours from those eyes, and good job with the cloning in your repost. Nothing wrong with their HA's. ;)

The re post is the better one for me too. The jockey is leaning forward, like the normally do, so a perfect title.; ))
    Great shot, with perfect detail.

I like the second post over the first--without the bright yellow. Amazing photograph! Fantastic color and detail and light. Wow! I can see the tiniest hairs! Great job.
