Default Osprey Mom Shielding Chicks from the Sun

There is a local nest which one can look down on and yesterday the chicks were a bit more active. I waited till they were up and looking around, but the Mom would always shield them with her wings. Taken with the D300 and Nikon 500 f/4 lens, f/7.1, iso 500, 1/500.

Nice interaction, this would have worked better with the opposite sun angle, although I suspect they would move around again, smart birds that they are :) Wish you had not clipped the tail on the Mommy.
I think if you select the babies and lighten the curve, you may bring more detail out of them.
Hope to see you sometime soon.

Nice capture, Nancy. I agree with Fabs. You can lighten the chicks quite a bit. Yes, it was a bad angle, but you were lucky to see these very young chicks in the nest.
